How To Add Phone Effect To Motion Ninja

Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special review.

In my videos, I use Motion Ninja to edit most of my short-form content. It’s a solid app, and I’ve been using the paid version ever since I did the news for my school. It’s pretty capable in what it can do. Starting today, I’ll be launching a series of tutorials on how to use the app. Since I’m on the paid version, I might have access to some paywalled features, but I’ll point that out when it happens.

For today’s tutorial, I’ll be showing you how to add the phone effect to a video. You might’ve seen me use this effect in the video where I talked about the Snap Score being higher than the U.S. national debt. In that clip, you could see the phone pop up on screen. Here’s how you can do a basic version of that effect yourself.

  1. Click the plus (+) icon and import your video.

  2. Tap the clip and hit Edit.

  3. Next, click the FX icon and search for “phone.”

Unfortunately, there aren’t many options—just what looks like an iPhone 13 and a Samsung S20. That’s it for now.

I’ll be choosing Phone 1 (the iPhone 13). Once you add it, you’ll see six presets you can pick from. I went with Preset 3, which gives you the phone effect for about one second. If you want it to last longer, drag the purple bar all the way to the end of your video. Then, tap the keyframe icon (the little diamond) and drag it to the end of the vidoe.

From there, click the purple bar and click edit and from there you can adjust the phone effect—things like size, color, rotation, position, and even the light source. God bless and Tech Talk To You Later!!!
