Tab S10 Live vs Tab S10 FE

Samsung offers two budget-friendly S-series tablets: the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite and the Galaxy Tab S10 FE, along with a Plus model. Let’s determine which tablet is best for you. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE (128 GB Wi-Fi model) retails for $429.99 USD and features a 10.9-inch display with a 2304 x 1440 (WUXGA+) resolution, supporting up to 90 Hz and compatibility with an S Pen. The Galaxy Tab S10 Lite also has a 10.9-inch display running at up to 90 Hz, but it uses a TFT display instead of the IPS display found in the FE. IPS displays offer better viewing angles and color accuracy, making the FE a superior choice for watching content.

Under the hood, the Tab S10 Lite is powered by an Exynos 1380 chip, while the FE uses the Exynos 1580, which supports faster download speeds and achieves 35% and 41% higher single- and multi-core Geekbench scores, respectively. This suggests the S10 FE performs better for demanding applications or video games. Neither tablet includes a headphone jack, but both support expandable storage up to 2 terabytes. Both tablets have an 8000 mAh battery, which is relatively small when compared to, for example, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is a phone, 5000 mAh battery. However, the S10 FE supports faster 45-watt charging, compared to the Lite’s 25-watt cap. Both tablets run Android 15 and should support up to 7 Android updates.

The S10 FE features a superior front-facing camera, capable of recording at 4K 30 FPS, and a 13 MP rear camera. In contrast, the S10 Lite’s 5 MP front camera and 8 MP rear camera are limited to 1080p at 30 FPS. In conclusion, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite is suitable for basic tablet tasks or as a kids’ tablet, but the S10 FE is better for video calls, light gaming, or content consumption due to its superior display, performance, and video camera capabilities.
