One UI 8 BROKE Secure Folder

Red alert, guys! As a heavy user of Samsung's core security feature, this just breaks my heart. Today I updated to the One UI 6 update and the September security patch, excited for a faster Galaxy AI screenshot, better security features, and hopefully better battery life. I was not expecting a core breakdown in the security of my phone.

On One UI 7, I had my phone set to lock upon the app's exit. Now, sometimes there may be glitches, but usually it would lock, so every time when switching from Chrome to Sheets to YouTube, the app would be locked. This was useful because it meant that mission-critical data couldn't be leaked even if my phone was unlocked. It also meant nobody could sign me up for newsletters if I handed them my phone to look at Instagram or something like that.

Now, with this update, it keeps the apps unlocked, essentially returning to the function of the application. If someone has access to the phone, then it's game over. Sure, it's easier to use, but at what cost? Security has been compromised. I am actively working on a project, but if Samsung doesn't fix this, I may switch over to a Motorola or Pixel phone. This is ridiculous.

Also, circle to search is nit working in secure folder despite screenshot working. This is absolutely disgraceful.

God bless and tech talk to you later!!
